Carriages, Buggies, Horse Drawn......
The Amish use Horses with Good reason.   Many Times in Indiana I have seen the Fields plowed on Amish Lands when still too wet for machinery to venture in to the wet field of neighboring Farms. Huge Teams of some of the worlds strongest Horses are often used to plow Neighbor fields at a Price.   Any jump on the growing season is a blessing.
The Amish have been Long Noted as .....Good Stewards of the Land
One of the Main Reasons we still have a Horse and Buggy Trade in this Country is due in Large part to the Amish and the Stewardship of their Livestock.    One fellow told me they buy Retired Trotting Race Horses from The Race Tracks.   The horses are use to the Trotting and familiar with Traffic and people.  A good way to recycle. .....Jakob
